Ireland’s Best Off-Roader; Natalie Kane
By Nikki Scott | 20 Jan 2014

Natalie Kane has been awarded 2013 Irish off-road rider of the year at the annual Adelaide Motorcycle Awards last Friday in Belfast, Ireland. “I really appreciated the nomination, but I didn’t actually expect to win it! So, I couldn’t believe it! I am so proud to have won this award” Kane said, “I am the first female ever to achieve it and now my name joins a list of Irish legends such as ‘Gordon Crockard’, who has previously won this award many times before.”

As for this up coming season, Natalie will be in Qatar with her team HM Plant KTM UK come March 1st for the first round of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship. “For this season I hope to stay healthy and give everything I’ve got. I hope to be battling for race wins and overalls, or at least consistent podium finishes. It won’t be easy, but I am prepared to give 200% and so is everyone around me. I am excited to have the full series back with the MXGP and MX2, I think it will be better racing and will bring more of the faster girls back to race, it is also a good opportunity for new talent to show up. Right now, I am a bit behind on bike time and set up, but I am looking forward to getting back to it and for the season to start”

Congratulations to Natalie and her team on their achievement’s so far.
