Preparations for FIM Snowcross World Championship in Russia

FUNCHAL (Portugal), 14 December 2011 – On the 25th February it will take place the 2012 FIM Snowcross World Championship and Youthstream is making a big effort to make of this event one of the most successful Snowcross events in years. Ms. Patricia Maskarova, Youthstream Snowcross General Manager, has recently been in Russia to meet Mr. Maxim Shevchenko, Chairman of the Commission for Snowcross at the MFR, Mr. Vladimir Gudkov, Chairman of the Management Board of the OJSC “Investtradebank”, Mr. Victor Ivanov, Head of the project, and Mr. Salvis Freimanis, President of Baltic Cup Foundation.

After a meeting in Moscow, they visited Semigorje, the Sports Centre to host the 2012 FIM Snowcross World Championship, located at about 400 km away from the capital of Russia.

‘We are all very enthusiastic for this event and all the preparations are heading the correct direction. I believe it will be one of the best FIM Snowcross World Championships ever,’ Ms. Maskarova admitted.

Semigorje is considered as one of surprising natural masterpieces of a midland, being characteristic for its magnificent forests and its unique ecological balance. Besides, Semigorje is located on the banks of the picturesque Russian River Volga.
