With the riders taking to the snow today in Älvbyn, Sweden for a day of practice before racing for the 2015 FIM Snowcross World Championship and FIM Women’s Snowcross World Cup crowns, Swedish riders dominated.
Group 1 of the FIM Snowcross World Championship saw Sebastian Asp set the fastest lap time ahead of the two times world champion Adam Renheim. Nisse Kjellström rounded out the top three.
In Group 2, Ogemar Hellgren was only slightly faster than the only non-Swede to crack the top 3 in either group, Norway’s Elias Ishoel. Meanwhile another Swede in the form of Oskar Norum was third.
As for the ladies, the defending champion Elina Ohman has already made a solid statement clocking the fastest lap in both FIM Women’s Snowcross World Cup free practice sessions ahead of Ronja Revelj and Matilda Johansson.
